Taggerty Agroforestry Farm

       and Arboretum

The Taggerty Agroforestry Farm and Arboretum, located 100km north-east of Melbourne at the foot of the Great Dividing Range, is the brainchild of Taggerty resident and Farm Forester John Woodley.

Starting with a bare rural block of land in the early 1990's, it was converted to a working Agroforestry site with three main tree species by the late 90's. But then it just kept growing and diversifying over the next twenty years, until today it hosts over 120 different species, native and exotic, and has transformed into an Arboretum (as well as continuing to function as a productive Agroforestry Farm).

This website serves as a Virtual Arboretum, for those who cannot get to the site, and also for those at the site who are able to scan QR codes with their phones to obtain more information about what they are looking at. This project is a work-in-progress and is continually developing!
